Visit to the Country Fire Authority (CFA) facility. Erickson bought the manufacturing rights from Sikorski, and owns 19 of the existing 41 Air Cranes flying. These units are often on loan to any number of locations for firefighting, and where heavy lifting in inaccessible places is needed. The crews come with the air cranes. The CFA also operates a Cessna 377 and a Bell helicopter out of Ballarat for spotting and directing operations.
